BLAST - English: Blast, born in 1986, living in Porto started is career as DJ in April 2008. Although he started using the computer as a support, in May 2006 he adopted vinyl having been using it since then. As a Dj he adopted basically the heaviest sounds such as, Tech, Hard, Dark, Neurofunk and Wreck-step. A month after his first performance he joined the collective of Yellow-Stripe, the official promoter of Therapy Sessions, joining T-Rex and C-Netik. Since then he has performed regulary in Therapy Sessions Portugal, sharing stage with artists like: Propaganda, Current Value, Raiden, Counterstrike, Panacea, Limewax, Vicious Circle, Prolix, between others. In November 2008 he shows his work for the first time abroad. Together with T-Rex he participated in the presentation of the most recent album of OFFKEY “The Firm LP”. Influenced by musical styles like Techno, Hardcore, Chillout, Funk and Jazz. Blast is starting to escape from habitual style concentrating also on Liquid and in Electro-break/Electro-clash. Besides music he is also a graffity artist since 2001. He still belongs to the crew Maniaks, alongside with Nitro, Mots, Esod and Deal. As a writer, he has already been in the Jam “Graffiti Non Stop” that took place in Wroclaw, Poland, and in the international event of Montana cans “ Just Writing my Name” organized in Casa da Musica in Porto. - Português: Blast, de 22 anos e residente no porto, iniciou a sua carreira como dj em abril de 2007. Apesar de usar inicialmente como suporte o computador, em maio de 2006 aderiu ao vinil, sendo o suporte que actualmente utiliza. Como dj, marcou-se por aderir principalmente ás sonoridades mais pesadas tais como tech, hard, dark, neurofunk e wreck-step. Um mês após a sua estreia, junta-se ao colectivo yellow-stripe, a actual promotora official das Therapy Sessions portuguesas, á qual pertencem T-rex e C-netik. Desde então, passou a macar presença assídua nas therapy sessions em portugal, partilhando palcos com artistas como: propaganda, current value, raiden, counterstrike, panacea,limewax, vicious circle, prolix, entre outros... Em novembro de 2007 divulga pela 1ª vez o seu trabalho no estrangeiro, juntamente com T-rex, participou na apresentação do mais recente álbum da offkey "the firm lp". Influenciado por estilos musicais como techno, hip hop, electro, breakbeat, hardcore, chillout, funk e jazz, Blast já começa também numa procura de fugir ao seu estilo habitual, concentrando-se no liquid e no electro-break/electro-clash. Para além da música, a arte faz também parte da sua vida, principalmente o graffiti, ao qual já se dedica desde 2001. Nesse mesmo ano surge a crew Maniaks, á qual actualmente ainda pertence juntamente com: Nitro, Mots, Esod e Deal. Como writer, já marcou presença na jam "graffiti non stop" realizada em Wroclaw, Polónia e no evento internacional da Montana cans "just writing my name", realizado na casa da música. - | Myspace | Set Download |
