YELLOW-STRIPE (YS) - How and when did you get started in Drum and Bass?

VENGANZA - I started in the early 2000 listening breaks and uk electronic music, at some point I discovered some stuff from kemal and cause 4 concern and I get shock with this stuff, I loved the tempo as I came from punk music which is as fast as dnb.

ANTONIO DUB ELEMENTS -Before producing music, I was involved in the promotion of D&B and Breaks events in Seville and playing under the name AC 45 in the  most main Spain cities. After I co-founded Resistance Group where a few months later I knew to Selu and we started to produce D&B music for a project which would later be known as Dub Elements .

SELU DUB ELEMENTS - I began to make music around 11/12 years … I usually wrote breaks tunes ( actually im making a lot of them… its so relaxing to me ) … I released some of them in some Spanish breaks cd compilations, but after years I was a few tired because the shitty Spanish breakbeat scene back in the day, so I leave to make music until 4 years ago when I discovered D&B and I absolutely fall in love with it. I began to make some dnb stuff… After send over my first tunes to Humberto ( a big friend and co-founder of Resistance Group)  I started to meet people of the sevillian dnb scene, one of them AC 45, and after playing some times together we think to create the band.

YS –What led to the creation of Elements of Vengeanze?

ELEMENTS OF VENGEANZE (EOV) -we started to collab very often as dub elements & venganza like two years ago,  so at some point we though that would be cool to make a band with a name together as almost all our new stuff was collabs between us, so then we though a name that represent a lil bit of each one and it was elements of vengeanze wich combines the both.

YS – Is Elements of Vengeanze the primary focus or are you still working solo?

EOV - For venganza yes, is his primary focus apart of other side project, but hes not working as solo anymore. For dub elements, they still working together, but mostly the stuff they do as dub elements is breaks.

YS – You have separate Electro/Breaks projects ongoing, but you are not planning to leave D&B, right?

EOV - yes we have a side project called UNABLE, which is electro and dubstep, and dub elements still making stuff but mostly breaks as I said before, and they are rising to the top of the UK scene, making remixes to people like backdraft, and some other big names of the breaks scene. So we have not planned to leave dnb, you are right, we got lot of stuff on forthcoming and we will keep trying to destroy every dancefloor, don’t have any doubt!

YS – What is your goal with this new project?

EOV- Our goal is contribute to dnb with our vision of this music, trying to make something new, with our unique sound.

YS -What are your TOP 5 tunes ever?

EOV -Kemal & rob data – gene sequence
Audio - Warehouse
Noisia – Block Control
Dieselboy and Kaos – Barrier break
Konflict - Messiah

YS – And your TOP 5 tunes of the moment?

EOV - Uman + btk – Generator
Silent Killer – Supremacy bleeds (counterstrike rmx)
Elements of Vengeanze & Forbidden Society – Set it off
Dub Elements & Erre – Popim
Donny - Crawler

YS – What are for you the upcoming talents of Drum and Bass Scene?

EOV -We think we are still a upcoming talent, also some of the artist we think are really hot atm are Neonlight, they get better and better with every tune they make, also  Human, wich is not a new artist but hes last stuff is amazing, solo and as blockhead is pretty sick.
Also Freqax, they are fucking heavy and quite singular … always smash the dancefloor with their tunes and for sure Gancher & Ruin they are young but they already have a big name in our opinion.
we have a special mention to the disappeared Hedj which was one of our hottest artist in the list but unfortunately he had that accident this summer which was fatal, we are so sad about that cause was a big loss. Rest in peace mate wherever you are.

YS - Leave a message for Portuguese crowd,

EOV -Big up the portugese crew, hope you love us as much as we love all of you peeps!!

MEET YOUR ARTISTS :

"Antonio Colonia" - Why you get togheter for this project ? ?

EOV -Cause we was doing more collabs together than solo tracks, so at some point we decided to start this new project together.

"Roberto Sousa" - What do you like when you play in Portugal? "

EOV - All those sick and crazy peeps shaking their body like there’s no tomorrow!!!

"Luis" -What is your favourite place to play and your favorite gig, so far? "

EOV -We always have been Play porto and lisbon, porto at the porto rio is sick, the whole vibe on the boat is crazy, we love it, lisbon is also good, we have played the Lx factory and the crew there is massive.
Outside Portugal, our hometown is pretty nice always, and eastern europe is really fun, romania, Bulgaria, ukraine ... and of course WATT Rotterdam and PRSPCT XL.
